Meet Ashley
Ashley Johns Hinder, LCSW
Hi, I’m Ashley! I’m an East Coaster at heart who made Southern Nevada home in 2018. I earned my bachelor’s degree in social work from The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in 2014 and my master’s in social work from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2018. Over the years, I’ve worked in a wide variety of settings with people from all walks of life. I’m committed to creating an inclusive, affirming space for people of all cultures, races, genders and backgrounds.
Clinically, I am trained in Exposure and Response Prevention, Inference Based-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), Somatic Experiencing and Acceptance and Commitment therapies. This means I focus on helping people get to the root of what’s keeping them stuck, while working to create meaningful change, through real life practices—not just quick fixes. Together, these approaches help you break out of the repetitive cycles, gain emotional clarity, and build a life that feels more aligned with who you truly are.
When I’m not in therapist mode, you’ll find me spending time with my family, seeing music concerts, exploring the outdoors and binge-watching Bravo. I walk the talk and can be found applying techniques I teaches to my personal life as well.
